Whittington Cricket Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its members. The club believes that it is important that all members, coaches, administrators and parents associated with the club should at all times show respect to each other. Junior members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns that they may have about any aspect of the club with their coach, the Junior Co-ordinator or the Club Welfare Officer.
As a member of Whittington Cricket Club Junior Members are expected to abide by the following junior club rules:
- All members must play within the rules, not cheat, and respect officials, coaches and their decisions.
- All members must respect opponents.
- Members should keep to agreed timings for training, competitions and matches. Please inform your coach if you are going to be late.
- Members must pay subscriptions promptly.
- Junior members are not allowed to smoke on club premises or whilst representing the club.
- Junior members are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises or whilst representing the club.
- Junior members are expected to listen and respond to what the coach tells them.
- Junior members are expected to understand that the coach has to do what is best for the team and not one individual player.
- Junior members are expected to be gracious in victory and defeat, shaking hands at the end of the game.
